The dairy started licensed production for Arla Foods in 1998 before Arla purchased the dairy in 2006. Today, the plant employs over 150 people and produces our best specialty cheese types, including Havarti, Gouda, Edam, Fontina and Muenster. Arla is owned by dairy farmers who produce most of our milk.

Every Thursday and also one Saturday of the month, you can look forward not only to the farmers’ market, but also to local food and gastronomy businesses. It is a very good attraction to visit while you’re in Prague, to sip in the authentic atmosphere.

A farm visit is an excellent opportunity to experience the passion and dedication our farmers have for dairy farming, while offering an insight into what happens at the beginning of the dairy supply chain. The farmers’ market at the Cerny Most B metro station supplies farm food to the north-east of Prague, especially the Cerny Most II housing estate, visitors to shopping centres and passengers from the bus terminal to the surroundings of Prague. The market alternates with Wednesday’s market in the Rajska Zahrada. You can visit the farmers’ market in Prague 13 on Sluneční náměstí in Stodůlky from Monday, 4 April. You will find here a wide range of products, fruits, vegetables, pastries and flowers.

You will find there not only quality and selected vegetables, meat, cheese and dairy products, but also fruit and local accompanying assortment, such as flowers, pastries, jams, herbs, spices, eggs, honey and seasonal products. This year’s 2022 season is finally starting and you can support Czech farmers and producers across the whole Prague. From our farmers’ fields to your fridge, you can trust that Arla Organic is made with sustainability and animal welfare in mind. The majority of the feed used by Arla farmers is produced by the farmers, themselves. This requires less transport and reduces the amount of third party feeds that are imported.

The popular Farmers markets on Tylak in Prague district will start on Monday, April 4, and will be open every weekday until November 15. The Rajska zahrada farmers market can again be found in its traditional location on a paved area next to the Rajska zahrada B metro station. You buy here fresh vegetables, smoked meat and other goodies directly from Czech farms every Wednesday. The market alternates with Friday’s market on the Cerny Most. The Arla Farmers app provides Arla´s farmer owners with access to their data, such as e.g. milk quality and milk statement, as well as news, information, calendar activities and much more.
The program includes checking the cows daily to make sure they are healthy and in good condition and working closely with farmers to help them achieve high milk quality. The Hermanak farmers’ market started on Saturday, February 5, with an offer of quality and fresh food. Hermanak is the first packaging-free farmers’ market that does not use any plastic plastic bags, cups or food boxes and invites its visitors to bring their own packaging, bags and sacks to support the ecological operation of the market. On Saturday, Februady 26, the traditional Farmers markets on Kulatak on Vitezne Square will start its 13th season. You can look forward to fruits and vegetables from Czech farmers, fresh pastries and confectionery, meat and sausages, dairy products, eggs and many other products. From Wednesday, February 16, the popular Farmers markets on Jirak located on Jiriho z Podebrad Square will bring quality food directly from local farmers, gardeners and small farmers, or handicrafts from craftsmen. We've created theworld’s largest externally validatedclimate data setsfrom dairy farms to help our farmer owners become as climate efficient as possible. Together with our farmer owners, we’ve committed to reducing on-farm CO2e emissions per kilo milk by 30 per cent by 2030. Rewarding farmers for their climate activities is an important milestone towards accelerating CO2e reductions on farm.
One example is our support for the responsible production of the soy which our farmers use in their feeds. You can find there not only of farm products, but also of the best of local businesses, shops, restaurants and cafes. From Tuesday, February 1, the Ladvi farmers markets, that you can find next to the Ladvi metro station, will also be gradually launched.
The app and its content will continuously be developed based on farmer feedback. Because we are farmer-owned, all of our earnings go back to our farmer owners. This means that when people buy our products, the money is split equally between each liter of milk that our owners supply.
